Mondo Conservation is based in the beautiful Kertasari-Gelampar region of West Sumbawa, Indonesia, with an additional site at Poto Tano Port, where our Marine Conservation Office oversees the local Marine Protected Areas and sustainable diving activities.

The West Sumbawa coastline is home to some of Indonesia’s most spectacular coral reefs and marine life, from colourful reef fish and turtles to graceful manta rays and even our resident black marlin, sighted several times in local waters.

Located close to all the top surf breaks in the region, Mondo Conservation can also assist with diving trips, eco-tours and accommodation to make your stay in Sumbawa unforgettable.

At Whales and Waves, there is a variety of accommodation styles available to suit every guest's needs. Choose from our selection of deluxe single, double, and twin rooms, all equipped with AC, hot water, and ensuite toilet and shower facilities. Alternatively, indulge in the luxury of our superior oceanfront Villas. Nestled within our beautiful, spacious garden filled with palm trees, these Villas are ideal for families or groups of friends.

15m² | 2 people. Private Standard rooms are all air conditioned and have an open roof ensuite. The room size is 15m² and is suitable for 2 people.

18m² | 2 people. Superior rooms are private, air conditioned, spacious and round-shaped, with its own ensuite with a semi-open roof. The room size is 18m² and is suitable for 2 people.

DELUX ROOM

20m² | 2 people. The largest of our double rooms, Deluxe rooms are private, air conditioned, spacious and round-shaped, with its own ensuite with a semi-open roof. The room size is 20m² and is suitable for 2 people. We can fit an extra bed upon request.

PRIVATE FAMILY VILLA

105m² | 4 people. Luxury Air-conditioned, spacious circular-shaped villa, with its own large ensuite with a semi-open roof. Ideal for families or sharing friends. The villa has two bedrooms, each is 25m² and we can fit an extra bed upon request. There is also a spacious living room (40m²) equipped with a satellite TV, fridge.
